My husband always gives me such a hard time that I spend hours and hours photographing other people’s children and not my own. Then it dawned in me that aside from shots taken on my blackberry, I really have not taken any real photos of my own children since Christmas. Yikes! So yesterday, when my 2 year old (who normally hates her picture taken) asked me to take her picture, I made it a point to break out the camera.  I even got a smile out of my little sweet pea!

On November 7th my husband and I are running the NYC Marathon with Team Hole in the Wall. We decided to run for Team Hole in the Wall last fall after our then 16 month old daughter was hospitalized for dehydration. Those 24 hours we spend there seemed like 24 days. As we sat for hours trying to comfort our baby while she fought to remove the IV, we began to realize how awful it must be for children who suffer serious illnesses and spend months or even years in a hospital. The Hole in the Wall camps allow those kids the opportunity to get out of the hospital beds and be kids again.

Please consider sponsoring my run and helping to send a sick kid to camp. All donations are greatly appreciated! No donation is too small! To make a secure, tax deductible donation, you can do so by visiting my page online. Or you may mail me a check made payable to: The Hole in the Wall Gang Fund, Inc.

Thanks for your support!

Last week when I asked my girls what they wanted to get daddy for Father’s Day, my 4 year old quickly replied, “I think we should make him a trophy for being the BEST, HANDSOMEST, FUNNEST dad.” And so, all week we hit up craft and party supply stores in search of items to create it. Tonight, while daddy enjoyed a night out, the girls began creating their masterpiece. I let them go nuts and I’m pretty sure I’ll be cleaning up glitter for the next few weeks.

This morning was my daughter’s end of year performance and graduation ceremony from the 3’s Program at her preschool. It took everything I had in me to keep it together. I am so proud of my little girl. It’s amazing how much she’s learned this year and how far she’s come in 10 short months. I can’t speak highly enough of her teachers and the rest of the staff at Landmark. I am so grateful for their hard work and dedication. Thank you all for another fantastic year. Enjoy your summer, trouble’s coming in the fall!
