A few weeks ago I had a double header wedding weekend at The Waterview in Monroe, CT. It was my first time shooting at The Waterview and it is gorgeous! The weather was perfect. Edna, John and their entire family could not have been more kind and welcoming. I had such a great time shooting their big day.  Edna & John, thanks for letting me be a part of your special day.  I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

After receiving an album for a wedding I did that I was quite frankly embarrassed to give to my client, I began a frantic search for a new album vendor.  I learned quickly, you get what you pay for.  While these are significantly more expensive than I intended to spend on an album, they are absolutely amazing and well worth the money.  They are so substantial and beautifully crafted.  The style is classic, simple and timeless.  I think that is very important when it comes your wedding album.

Here are some photos I snapped this morning of the sample the vendor sent me.  Please note: the photos in the album are not taken by me.  They are taken by Zielenbach Photography. I’m working on my studio sample this weekend. I’ll be sure to post some shots of mine once it arrives.

You may have noticed I have not updated any portfolio galleries since I switched from a standard site to a blog site.  I just wanted to let you know I do plan to update all galleries in August.  I am also hoping to add a few other elements to the site as well.  In the meantime, if you are considering me for Wedding Day Photography, please feel free to contact me regarding packages and pricing and I’d be happy to meet with you to review my portfolio not yet online.

I recently shot Christine and Jim’s very intimate wedding in Rowayton. This being such a close intimate ceremony, I really felt more like a guest than a photographer. It was such a lovely afternoon and I enjoyed getting to know them and sharing their special day. Christine and Jim, I hope you enjoy your sneak peek. Congratulations!

A little over a week ago, I had the honor of photographing Amy & Nick’s wedding. I knew I’d have a great time after spending an afternoon with them both last fall shooting their engagement photos. They are such a fun couple and their wedding was truly a reflection of that.

Amy & Nick,
Thank you so much for the opportunity! You were both incredible to work with and I really had a blast shooting your big day! I hope you enjoy your sneak peek.

I have to admit, the first time I watched Missy and Mike’s completed slideshow, I got a bit emotional. Not just because watching it reminded me of the love and happiness that seemed to fill the air that day, but because this wedding was the first one I ever booked. As I sat watching the video and listening to their wedding song, John Hiatt’s Have A Little Faith In Me, I was overcome with gratitude.

When Missy and I first met, I had no wedding portfolio or album samples to show. I had never shot a wedding and theirs would be my very first. Still, they had a little faith in me and hired me to photograph one of the most important days of their lives. I don’t think I will ever be able to put into words how much that truly means to me.

Missy and Mike,
THANK YOU! Thank you for the opportunity. Thank you for trusting in me when I was just starting out. Thank you for making my first paid wedding an absolute blast! Thank you for being such an easy going, fun, happy and delightful couple to work with. Thanks to your family and bridal party who all were so friendly and welcoming. I could go on and on…..

I hope you enjoy the slideshow. You guys are the best! And a million times more, THANK YOU!

Earlier this month I photographed Jennifer & Justin’s wedding. I had such a great time hanging out with the family, again. (Back in October I photographed Jennifer’s sister’s wedding.) They are really one of the most kind and welcoming families I have worked with and I will always remember their warmth and hospitality. Thanks so much for the opportunity to photography your big day. Enjoy your sneak peek!
