A few weeks ago I had a double header wedding weekend at The Waterview in Monroe, CT. It was my first time shooting at The Waterview and it is gorgeous! The weather was perfect. New DVD Printing & Cases Now Available

I just received my DVD and case samples. They rock! I think this is my favorite product of all I currently offer. The case itself is beautifully done. The image quality is excellent and it even has a magnetic closure. Then you open it up and you’re just blown away by the DVD. Your image is printed ON the DVD. I thought for sure it would look grainy or distorded - NOT EVEN CLOSE! It’s AMAZING! These pictures really don’t even do it justice. Feel free to come check it out in person.

Monday, I met the T family in Fairfield at the Burr Homestead. It was the first time I had ever been, but I definitely plan to shoot there a lot more – it’s gorgeous! The only thing more beautiful than the grounds, was this family! It was great meeting your guys. Your daughter is absolutely adorable! I hope you enjoy your sneak peek.

New Albums

After receiving an album for a wedding I did that I was quite frankly embarrassed to give to my client, I began a frantic search for a new album vendor. I learned quickly, you get what you pay for. While these are significantly more expensive than I intended to spend on an album, they are absolutely amazing and well worth the money. They are so substantial and beautifully crafted. The style is classic, simple and timeless. I think that is very important when it comes your wedding album.

Here are some photos I snapped this morning of the sample the vendor sent me. Please note: the photos in the album are not taken by me. They are taken by Zielenbach Photography. I’m working on my studio sample this weekend. I’ll be sure to post some shots of mine once it arrives.

My husband always gives me such a hard time that I spend hours and hours photographing other people’s children and not my own. Then it dawned in me that aside from shots taken on my blackberry, I really have not taken any real photos of my own children since Christmas. Yikes! So yesterday, when my 2 year old (who normally hates her picture taken) asked me to take her picture, I made it a point to break out the camera. I even got a smile out of my little sweet pea!

You may have noticed I have not updated any portfolio galleries since I switched from a standard site to a blog site. I just wanted to let you know I do plan to update all galleries in August. I am also hoping to add a few other elements to the site as well. I am really excited to announce this contest. It’s something I have been thinking about doing for a few months now and I thought “Christmas in July” would be a great time to put it out there.
